In latest news from Doon, the State Culture and Tourism minister Satpal Maharaj expressed happiness over the victory of BJP in Kedarnath Assembly and Uttar Pradesh Assembly by-elections as well as the massive victory of Mahayuti in Maharashtra Assembly elections. He ascribed this string of poll victories to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s welfare policies as well as Sanatan. Speaking particularly on Kedarnath win, he said that the people had rejected outright the politics of lies being practised by the Congress. On bypoll win in Uttar Pradesh, he said that the people have reposed their confidence in the leadership of Yogi Adityanath. Referring to the resounding win of the BJP-led alliance in Maharashtra, he said that it amounted to a slap on the face of those who made it a habit to denigrate Sanatan Dharma.
