BJP’s victory in ULB polls a guarantee of development: Dhami

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that the victory of BJP in the urban local bodies’ elections is a guarantee for the development of the State. He was addressing a public meeting in support of BJP mayoral candidate Asha Upadhyaya at Srinagar on Monday. The CM said that the BJP government has fulfilled every promise it made to the people of the State.
Dhami said that on the eve of the Assembly elections in 2022, he had promised that the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) will be implemented in the State. He said that the state cabinet in its meeting held on Monday has approved the UCC draft and it will soon be implemented in the State.
He said that as per the aspirations of the people of Uttarakhand, the State government has enacted stringent laws to prevent land and spit Jihad, prevent religious conversion and cheating in competitive examinations.
Dhami said that on one hand the State government is working dedicatedly for all round development of the State, the Congress party is making an effort to win the upcoming ULB elections by any means. The Congress party wants to win ULB polls to restart its game of corruption. He said that people remember that in order to appease its specific vote bank, the Congress refused to attend the consecration ceremony of Lord Ram in Ayodhya.
Exhorting the people to vote for the BJP candidates, the CM said that victory of BJP is guarantee of development. The CM also took out a road show in Srinagar in which he was accompanied by Garhwal MP Anil Baluni, cabinet minister Dhan Singh Rawat, Devprayag MLA Vinod Kandari and others.
The CM also addressed public meetings and held road shows in support of party candidates in Mussoorie, Uttarkashi, Rishikesh and Dehradun on the day.
