The Election Commission will pay a sum of Rs 350 to every booth level officer (BLO) deployed in the ongoing process of Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in the State. The sum will be paid as reimbursement for their mobile data. The decision will benefit 11,733 BLOs deployed in SIR work in the State.

The chief electoral officer (CEO) Uttarakhand, BVRC Purushottam said that the process of SIR has begun in the State. He said that the BLOs will visit every household of the State from June 8 to July 7, distributing enumeration forms to voters. “During this one-month phase, BLOs will digitize the completed forms received from voters through the BLO App. To ensure that BLOs do not face a shortage of mobile data during this entire process, it has been decided to provide BLOs an amount of Rs 350 to recharge the mobile data,’’ he said.

The BLOs will distribute the enumeration forms to 79,60,762 voters in the State and then digitize these forms. The EC plans to publish the draft electoral roll on July 14, 2026. The voters will be asked to register claims and objections between July 14 to August 13. The final voter list of the State will be published on September 15, 2026 after the end of SIR work.
