A major accident was averted on Nainital-Haldwani road after a huge boulder suddenly fell on a taxi in which two health department officials were coming to Nainital High Court from Haridwar. The vehicle was damaged, but luckily the passengers remained safe with none having sustained serious injury. The traffic on the route remained disrupted for some time.
ADM, Nainital, Vivek Rai appealed to the people to be cautious while driving on hilly roads during the rainy season and avoid unnecessary travel.
