Chamba lad makes it to the Indian Navy

Mahesh Kothari of Hadam village near Chamba in Tehri district has become a sub lieutenant in the Indian Navy. Kothari passed out of the Indian Naval Academy in Kerala after four years of rigorous training. There is a wave of happiness in the area due to his achievement.
Kothari’s early education took place in Chamba. Later, after passing the intermediate examination from Sainik School, Ghodakhal, he was selected in the Indian Naval Academy. He passed out from the academy on November 26 as a sub lieutenant. He will take over his duties as a sub lieutenant in the Indian Navy on December 26. His father Krishna Kothari and mother Deveshwari Devi were also present during the passing out parade. The sub lieutenant gave the credit for his success to his parents and teachers. His father said that Mahesh had been wishing to join the navy and that the family supported him in his endeavour to fulfill his dream.
