Char Dham Yatra preparations nearing completion: Maharaj

With the annual Char Dham Yatra commencing on April 19, the Tourism, Religious Affairs and Culture Minister Satpal Maharaj stated that all the departments associated with the pilgrimage are working in close coordination to complete preparation well before the Yatra starts. “The district administrations, police administration, health department, tourism department, public works department, drinking water department, hotel association and tour operators are all working together to ensure a safe and pleasant journey for the pilgrims. Adequate accommodation, clean restaurants and resting places have been ensured at all the major stops along the Yatra routes,” he said.
Maharaj stated that adequate arrangements have been made for road repairs, additional bus services and traffic management. “Medical camps, ambulances, oxygen facilities and emergency rescue teams will be stationed at each pilgrimage site. Furthermore, uninterrupted power supply, drinking water, mobile connectivity and adequate toilets have been facilitated,” he said and urged all pilgrims to register online before embarking on the Char Dham Yatra and to adhere to administrative guidelines and maintain cleanliness. He assured all embarking on the pilgrimage that the State government is going all-out to provide all facilities to them.
