Chintan Shivir; Cong starts brainstorming for elections

The three day Chintan Shivir of Uttarakhand Congress started in Rishikesh on Tuesday. With the Shivir the Congress party intends to streamline its preparations for the upcoming assembly elections and make necessary deliberations for its election campaign.

On the first day, the in charge of Uttarakhand Congress Devendra Yadav, Pradesh Congress Committee president Ganesh Godiyal, former chief minister and head of election campaign committee Harish Rawat, Leader of Opposition (LoP)  in assembly Pritam Singh and other leaders took part in different brainstorming sessions.

The media in-charge of Uttarakhand Congress, Rajiv Mehrishi said that the people of Uttarakhand are disillusioned because the promises made by the BJP in the run up for the assembly elections of 2017 have remained unfulfilled. He said that the BJP government has failed on all fronts and the people are now looking towards the Congress party with hope.
