The Bharatiya Janata Party has stated that with its mayoral and councillor candidates moving towards a decisive victory in most of the municipal corporations and the party looking forward to an emphatic win in most of the urban local bodies, the people have put their stamp of approval on the works of the government and the hard work put in by the party leadership and cadre. The BJP State president Mahendra Bhatt said that the party’s bumper victory will be more impressive when the final results are declared.
Responding to the results and trends which had emerged till Saturday evening, Bhatt said that BJP candidates were moving towards a decisive win in almost all the large municipal corporations. Similarly, a considerable number of the party candidates for the posts of municipal council and Nagar Panchayat chairpersons are ahead. The party is looking forward to a record number of its candidates being elected councillors and ward members which will enable it to form its majority board in most of the local bodies, he said.
Thanking the voters in the local bodies for supporting the party, Bhatt said that the BJP had been successful in communicating the achievements of the double-engine government and development works to the public. The party’s positive campaign and past track record has helped it win the confidence of the people in the urban areas. Stating that the election results are a result of the work of the party workers and the effective strategy of the organisation, Bhatt also thanked the party cadre. He also assured the public that the victorious candidates will execute the party’s manifesto with a special focus on development and public welfare.
