To mark the completion of three years of the Pushkar Singh Dhami government, a massive cleanliness drive was launched from ward number 7 for source segregation of garbage on Wednesday under the Swachh Survey campaign. The drive was conducted under the aegis of Nagar Palika Parishad, New Tehri. Among those present were the district magistrate Mayur Dixit and chairman, Nagar Palika Parishad, Tehri Mohan Rawat. Door to door campaign was conducted as part of the drive.
Dixit said that organic, inorganic and sanitary waste should be separated at home itself and put in three separate boxes installed in the garbage vehicle. Rawat said that efforts are being made continuously to keep the town clean, beautiful and disease- free. He sought cooperation from all.
