Clear weather to continue in Doon, higher temperatures likely today

Dehradun witnessed a dry day marked by hours of cloudy skies followed by sunny weather on Saturday with the temperatures remaining above normal. The weather in the provisional State capital is forecast to be warmer on Sunday while light rain is likely in five mountainous districts. The State Meteorological Centre has forecast that very light to light rain is likely to occur at isolated places in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts today. Apart from this, dry weather is likely to prevail in the remaining districts of the State. Dehradun is forecast to witness a mainly partly to clear sky with the maximum and minimum temperatures likely to be about 23 degrees Celsius to nine degrees Celsius respectively.

The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Saturday were 20.6 degrees Celsius and 9.2 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 18.2 degrees Celsius and 7.8 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 17 degrees Celsius and 3.5 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 14.1 degrees Celsius and 61. Degrees Celsius in New Tehri. The maximum temperature was a degree above normal while the minimum was three degrees Celsius above normal in Dehradun while the maximum was a degree below normal and the minimum was two degrees above normal in Pantnagar. The maximum temperature was five degrees above normal and the minimum was two degrees above normal in Mukteshwar while the maximum was a degree above normal and the minimum was three degrees above normal in New Tehri on Saturday.
