The Rudrapur mayor, Vikas Sharma expressed happiness over the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami having cleared reconstruction of the Teen Pani dam in the town. Notably, the CM included this project in his developmental announcement. The Rudrapur municipal corporation sources said that work on this project would start soon.
The mayor had met Dhami in Khatima and discussed various public issues facing Rudrapur. The mayor had highlighted the poor condition of the Teen Pani Dam in Ward No. 1, Fulsunga, saying that the dam had been in a dilapidated state for several years, causing significant water drainage problems during the rainy season. As a result, roads became waterlogged and water entered nearby colonies and homes, the mayor had told the CM.
Expressing his gratitude to the CM, Sharma said that the reconstruction of the dam and culverts would cost approximately Rs one crore. “Its reconstruction will relieve thousands of residents of the problem of waterlogging and facilitate smooth traffic in the area,” he added.
