CM Dhami directs police to root out crime from the State

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has warned that the elements intending to disturb peace of the State will not be spared. He said that the police should launch an intensive campaign to nab the criminals and people with criminal background should be regularly monitored.

The CM gave the warning to the criminals during his surprise inspection of the police headquarters on Wednesday. In the visit the CM sought information about the women safety helpline operated from the police headquarters and various activities being conducted by the police. On a stern note the CM instructed the officers that the law and order should be strengthened in the State and strict action should be taken against the criminals. 

He said that prompt action should be taken on incidents related to crimes against women. It should be ensured that needy people get the help of the police immediately.
The CM asked the senior police officers to take immediate action on the issues of demography change, religious conversion and love jihad.

He advised the senior officers to conduct on-site inspection of the police stations from where they started their career and also take steps to strengthen these police stations.
Dhami directed the officers to intensify patrolling in the border areas of the State and keep an eye on the people coming in and going out from the state.

He said that senior women IPS officers should be given the responsibility to arrest the accused in the cases of crimes against women. For effective control over crimes, officers should coordinate among themselves, exchange information quickly, strengthen the intelligence system and make regular arrangements for night patrolling, he said. 

The CM directed that patrolling should be increased by keeping constant vigil in areas where criminal activities have increased and added that the police personnel should be given regular training.

The officiating director general of police Abhinav Kumar, additional director general  Amit Kumar Sinha, ADG V Murugesan, ADG AP Anshuman, inspector general Vimmi Sachdeva, IG Nilesh Anand Bharane, IG KS Nagnyal, additional secretary Nivedita Kukreti and others were present on the occasion.
