CM Dhami meets Union Home minister Amit Shah

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met Union Home minister Amit Shah during his Delhi visit on Tuesday. The two leaders discussed various issues related to the State in the meeting. Dhami said as per the guidelines of the State Disaster Relief Fund, the fund available for reconstruction works is very less and the State has to bear the additional cost of reconstruction in any disaster. He said that due to limited resources with the State government, there is a delay in the reconstruction works. 

The CM requested Shah to increase the funds for reconstruction under the State Disaster Relief Fund. In the meeting the CM also requested that funds should be made available to the State for the reconstruction of High Tension (HT) lines of more than 33 KV capacity damaged by natural disaster.

He told the Union Home minister that due to an increase in the number of devotees and tourists in Nainital there is a problem of parking space in the city. 

Dhami requested that the entire land of the enemy property Metropole Hotel complex in Nainital should be given to the State government for vehicle parking and road widening works.
