Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has wished the people of the State on the eve of the New Year. In his message, the CM wished happiness, peace and prosperity to all the people of the state. The Chief Minister said that we are celebrating the 25th year of the creation of Uttarakhand as Devbhoomi silver jubilee Year.
He said that Uttarakhand has established many new dimensions in its development journey so far. The CM said that the concept of holistic and balanced development of Uttarakhand was at core of the statehood movement. To give concrete shape to this sentiment the State government has taken an initiative to write a new history of development with transparency, public participation and a new work culture.
He said that the State has succeeded in creating its own identity in the country through innovative and far-reaching efforts in the areas like tourism, agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, conservation and promotion of environment and culture and is identifying new sectors for rapid economic development.
The CM said that an attempt has been made to connect the difficult geographical situation of the state with the development by better financial management. He added that the effective implementation of development schemes and the efforts and innovations for development made by Uttarakhand have been appreciated by the NITI Aayog. Consequentially the State has got the first place in the country in the sustainable development index.
