CM directs officers to undertake reconstruction works in mission mode after monsoon

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has directed the State administration to initiate the repair and reconstruction works in a mission mode immediately after the end of the rainy season. He said that the top priority of the government is to provide immediate relief, security and facilities to the disaster affected people. 

The CM gave the orders while chairing a meeting with the senior officers of the State administration at his residence on Monday. The district magistrates of all the districts attended the meeting in a virtual mode.

 He said that the top priority of the government is to provide immediate relief, security and facilities to the disaster affected people. The chief minister directed that the administrative machinery should be in active mode for repair and reconstruction work as soon as the rainy season ends.

 He directed that the availability of relief material and dry ration should be ensured and proper arrangements should be made for accommodation, food and other essential facilities for the disaster affected. 

CM directed that a quick assessment of the damage caused to crops, drinking water lines and properties should be done and a report should be sent to the government.  On a stern note, the CM said the ban on permission for construction works near rivers and rivulets should be strictly enforced.

 He warned the responsibility of the officers will be fixed and strict action will be initiated against the irresponsible officers. 

In the meeting, the CM directed all the DMs to provide immediate funds for the disaster affected people. He said that the DMs should inspect the hospitals from time to time and assess the various arrangements. 

He said that strict action should be taken against those violating law and order in the State. The CM directed  the Police that constant monitoring should be done on outsiders and suspicious activities. Checking should be increased in border areas and suspicious persons should be identified and action should be taken, he said. 

Dhami averred that the administration should ensure that the Char Dham Yatra is conducted smoothly after the end of monsoon.

He also directed the DMs to organise village level Chaupal, Tehsil Diwas and BDC meetings and hold district level public hearings. Dhami directed that preparations should be made for the Seva Pakhwada programmes commencing from the Prime Minister’s birthday on September 17 and ending on Gandhi Jayanti.

Principal secretary RK Sudhanshu, R Meenakshi Sundaram and other officers of State administration attended the meeting.
