Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decision to set up fast-track courts for cases related to paper leaks, calling it a significant step towards protecting the interests of the country’s youth. This announcement comes after the PM’s social media post on Thursday amid ongoing student protests in the capital and a tense atmosphere in the Parliament amid the Monsoon session.
On Thursday morning, PM Modi delivered an important message to the youth of the nation, stating, “Nothing is more important than the welfare and future of our youth!” He added on X (formerly Twitter), “We have decided to set up fast-track courts to ensure swift and stringent punishment for those involved in paper leaks. I have directed the authorities and officials concerned to take all necessary steps in this regard. This is part of our ongoing efforts to safeguard the interests of students.”
In response, Dhami emphasised that the PM decision reflects a strong commitment from both the PM and the Central Government towards the hard work, talent and future security of millions of students.
He further expressed confidence that setting up fast-track courts would lead to the quick resolution of paper leak cases, timely and severe punishment for the offenders and effective measures to curb such crimes in the future.
