The chief minister, Pushkar Singh Dhami conducted an on- site inspection of the rain –hit plain areas of Champawat district, including Banbasa and Devipura, on Monday.
While visiting the Anandpur-Chandni areas of Banbasa, he interacted with the rain-affected villagers to take stock of their plight. He directed the district forest officers to work with the irrigation department for channelisation of Huddi river. Also, he visited Devipura area and spoke directly to the disaster-struck people. He asked the officers concerned to ensure that these people are provided with the essential commodities under all circumstances.
