An agreement was signed between the department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare and Patanjali Yogagram on the Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) under which the ex-servicemen and their families would get free treatment at Patanjali. Under this agreement, there would be no limit on the treatment expenses of ex-servicemen and their families in Yoga, Ayurveda and Naturopathy, Patanjali sources said, adding that about 60 lakh ex-servicemen and their families would benefit from this agreement.
While addressing the programme held in the University of Patanjali premises, the Yoga Guru Swami Ramdev said that the army and saints are serving the country in their own ways. He requested the Major General MPS Gill who was present as the chief guest to see to it that the contract is extended to the current soldiers to which the Army officer responded positively.
Swami Ramdev further said that they were going to start surgery soon as part of Patanjali treatment, adding that Yoga and Ayurveda were capable of curing critical diseases like cancer, hypertension, heart block and diabetes. “Yoga and Ayurveda give strength to the body while naturopathy purifies,” he averred.
Addressing the programme, Major General Gill said that this contract between Patanjali and the army had taken a lot of time to be signed. “But in the future, the army will work fast on extending the benefits to the current soldiers,” he said, adding that the holistic integrated medical system drawn up by Patanjali would include Yoga, Ayurveda and Naturopathy and also Allopathy.
