The Congress has said that many such people have filed nomination papers for the three tier Panchayat elections in the State whose name also figures in the voter list of  the urban local bodies of the State.  The party has demanded that the nomination papers of such candidates should be cancelled by the State Election Commission (SEC) whose name is there in the voter lists of Panchayat bodies and ULB. On the orders of Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Karan Mahara, a delegation of State Congress led by spokesperson Sheeshpal Singh Bisht visited the SEC in this regard on Monday. The delegation also submitted a memorandum directed to the State Election Commission on the issue.
