The Bharatiya Janata Party State president Mahendra Bhatt said that the Gham Tapo Yojana will play a key role in shaping the future of health tourism in the State. He described Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit to Uttarakhand as a moment of new opportunities for the region.
Speaking to the media on Friday, Bhatt said that Modi not only promotes Uttarakhand as a brand ambassador but also provides guidance for its development. He stated that the introduction of Gham Tapo Yojana aligns with the vision of making the current decade one of progress for Uttarakhand and would elevate the State’s tourism potential. Bhatt also criticised Congress leaders for questioning the initiative, stating that the people of Uttarakhand have long allowed them to enjoy free sunshine.
He said that the opposition neither understands the difficulties faced by people in polluted cities nor the economic opportunities that tourism can provide for Uttarakhand. He said that while tourists will pay for the experience, Congress leaders will continue to receive their share of free sunshine in the upcoming elections.
