Cold day conditions likely in parts of State today

Parts of the State may witness dense fog and cold day conditions on Tuesday. The State Meteorological Centre has issued a yellow warning (Watch) regarding the possibility of moderate to dense fog and cold day conditions likely to occur at some places in Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar districts today.

Apart from this, dry weather is likely to prevail in all districts of the State. The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness a mainly clear sky with moderate to dense fog likely to occur during the morning hours. The maximum temperature is likely to be about 22 degrees Celsius. There was some relief from the cold in parts of the State with temperatures rising a few notches above normal on Monday.

The maximum and minimum temperatures were 21.1 degrees Celsius and 9.7 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 15.5 degrees Celsius and 13 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 16.7 degrees Celsius and 2.9 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 15.8 degrees Celsius and 3.4 degrees Celsius in New Tehri.
