Confused Rawat, directionless Congress resorting to propaganda: Bhatt

Sunday, 12 February 2023 | PNS | DEHRADUN

Former chief minister Harish Rawat is confused because the Congress is at the root of all scams. The Congress is unsure of what to do and has hence made disinformation a part of its policy. Stating this, the Bharatiya Janata Party State president Mahendra Bhatt expressed concern at Rawat falling ill during a protest on Friday and appealed that he should take rest from political activities. However, he also alleged that while in power the Congress had always sheltered corruption. Bhatt said that the the Congress has a dual character which is why it had questioned the anti-copying law. The demand for a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation in the recruitment scams is aimed at delaying the recruitment process, he said.

Talking to media persons on Saturday in response to the questions raised by the Congress on the anti-copying law, the BJP State president said that the Congress earlier talked of a law against copying and is now raising questions at it. He alleged that the history of the Congress is full of scams in the recruitments of Patwari, inspector, BDO and other recruitments. Most of the recruitment tests which have come within the ambit of investigations at present date back to the tenure of the Congress government. Despite orchestrating various scams, the Congress leaders are now giving discourse on honesty and indulging in drama at police headquarters and other places. Bhatt said, “Today the former CM is also talking of giving up his life in the interests of the students but is also pretending to having forgotten the police action taken against trained BEd, Anganwadi Bhojan Mata and Shiksha Mitra during his term in office.” He further alleged that the Congress is raising the demand for CBI inquiry just to hamper the recruitment process and deprive the youth of employment to instigate the youth and cause deterioration in the State’s law and order situation. The opposition which is leveling allegations regarding the recruitment test leak accused securing bail should reflect on its own past because the unemployed would not be in this situation if the Congress had brought a strict anti-copying law during its own term in office. The State government under chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has now brought a stern anti-copying law to ensure that all competitive examinations are held in a transparent and fair manner. This will also ensure justice to the youth, added the BJP State president.
