To mark the upcoming World Environment Day slated on June 5, the regional office of the Uttarakhand Pollution Control Board hosted a painting competition under the theme of Ending Plastic Pollution at the State Inter College, Vanbhulpura in Haldwani. A large number of students from class VI to IX participated. The regional officer of the regional UPCB, Haldwani, Anurag Negi awarded the three winners of the competition and provided certificates of participation to the students. He also exhorted the students to refrain from using plastic items in any form.
