Releasing a chargesheet on completion of two years in office of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the Uttarakhand Congress has said that the State government has failed on all the fronts. Interacting with the media persons, the chief spokesperson of Uttarakhand Congress Garima Dasauni said that an effort is being made to project CM Dhami as the most popular CM of the country but the ground reality is different. She said that the State witnessed things which were unprecedented in its history during the last two years.
The State witnessed a crime like Ankita Bhandari murder case and the interests of the youth were sabotaged by a series of recruitment scams during the tenure of Dhami as CM. Similarly the youngsters demanding their rights were Lathi-charged in a most brutal manner for the first time in the State. Launching further attack Dasauni said that every second office bearer of the BJP is involved in corruption and the mining mafia is ruling the roost. She said that the State government has failed in reining the mining, liquor and land mafia in the State and the disaster such as Joshimath land subsidence is a result of failure of the government.
She said that Uttarakhand is a State where a large number of youngsters join armed forces and their interests were affected by the Agniveer scheme. Dasauni said that Dhami didn’t utter a single word about the ills of the scheme. She said that the crime against women is increasing and so are the atrocities on the ST and SCs in the State. The migration has increased and a large number of small and medium scale industrial units in the State have closed under Dhami rule, she said. The Congress leader said that an atmosphere of fear is being created in the State in the name of Love Jihad and land Jihad.
