The opposition Congress is all set to resume the Kedarnath Pratistha Rakhsa Yatra, suspended on July 31 at Sitapur in the wake of the rain-triggered natural calamity following the appeal of Rahul Gandhi. Now the yatra will resume at Sitapur itself and to lead it, the State Congress president Karan Mahara and the co-in-charge Surendra Sharma have already reached Sitapur.
Notably, the Congress had launched the agitation on July 24, protesting against what they alleged the BJP-backed construction of a Kedarnath replica in Delhi and collection of donations in the name of Sri Kedarnath Dham Trust for building the controversial temple.
