The Bharatiya Janata Party has alleged that the Congress is flummoxed by the ruling party’s campaign to ensure the government’s reach to every home. This is the reason why it has resorted to politically exploiting the Ankita Bhandari murder case. By doing so, the Congress is diverting the focus of the public from development while also insulting the departed soul and the State, the BJP alleged.
The BJP State chief spokesman Suresh Joshi said that the State is progressing consistently under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidance and chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s leadership. Uttarakhand is now among the top States when it comes to infrastructural developments and various indicators. “The Jamrani dam project pending for 50 years is now being implemented, reconstruction and beautification have lent new identity to Badrinath-Kedarnath, Hemkund Sahib in addition to the results of the fresh focus on Adi Kailash and the Manaskhand Mandir Mala Mission. The Delhi-Dehradun expressway, Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail project and enhanced air connectivity are poised to alter the State while enhancing the lives of the people,” he said.
Joshi further said that following Modi, the CM too is presenting a report card of the State government’s achievements in front of the public every year. The public has responded positively to this by reiterating its trust in the BJP as seen in various elections, he said.
“The Congress is unable to digest the public benefiting from government schemes and its rising satisfaction with the government. It is flummoxed and consistently trying to indulge in unethical politics. It has made indecent, unconfirmed and impractical debate on social media a part of its political strategy. The Congress did not provide a single proof or concrete information to the police or the court in the murder case. Now it is trying to repeat its failed attempt again but the people will not let this conspiracy succeed,” the BJP leader said.
