Leaders of Uttarakhand Congress visited the Maharana Pratap Sports stadium, Raipur on Monday and inspected the security arrangements set in place for the EVM machines.
The EVMs of the Tehri Lok Sabha constituency are kept in the stadium under tight security. The EVMs will be kept under strict vigil till June 4, the counting day.
The chief media coordinator of Uttarakhand Congress, Rajiv Mehrishi, former president of Mahanagar Congress Lal Chand Sharma, Congress general secretary Godavri Thapli, president of NSUI Vikas Negi, Mohan Kala and others visited the stadium.
The Congress leaders also held interaction with the district magistrate Sonika and city magistrate and expressed hope that all the necessary measures for ensuring the sanctity of democracy will be taken up.
