Responding to leader of opposition in the Vidhan Sabha, Yashpal Arya demanding a white paper from the government on development works in the State, the Bharatiya Janata Party has stated that the Congress needs to acknowledge the reality. The BJP State media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan claimed that the State government under chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has undertaken various works in public interest which are historic and have set an example for the nation.
Chauhan said that the “four years, eight questions” raised by the Congress is an attempt to spread political confusion despite the ground reality being totally different to that being projected by the opposition. “The reality of the development works done by the State government is visible on the ground. The State government has taken all necessary steps in the spheres of education, health and employment in an attempt to provide relief to the general public.
Acting in coordination with the Central government, the State government has provided direct benefit to lakhs of families through the free ration scheme, gas subsidy and other public welfare schemes. The employment situation in the State is positive too. By implementing a transparent recruitment policy and the anti-copying law, the future of youths has been secured and thousands of them have been appointed to government jobs so far. The government has also worked on the expansion of medical colleges, strengthening of district hospitals and facilitating health services in remote areas of the State,” Chauhan said. He also listed the various works done to improve education in the State along with policies adopted to boost self-employment to mitigate migration.
On the question of law and order, the BJP State media in-charge said that the situation is ideal with stern action being taken against criminals and special campaigns being undertaken for the safety of women. The zero-tolerance policy of the State government has resulted in investigation followed by strict action against those found guilty of corruption with more than 200 persons being sent to jail. Chauhan said that the Congress should consider its term in office marked by fear, corruption and anarchy. The BJP government is fully committed to transparency, answerability and development, he claimed.
