Congress starts 2nd phase of Parivartan Yatra in U’khand

The second phase of the Parivartan Yatra of Uttarakhand Congress started from Har Ki Paidi in Haridwar on Saturday.

The Yatra meandered through the Doodhadhari Chowk, Main Market Haridwar, Jawalapur, Bahadrabad and Roorkee on the day and evoked a good response from the people and Congress party workers.

Addressing the party workers in charge of Uttarakhand Congress Devendra Yadav said that every worker and leader of Congress party would raise the voice of the poor and deprived. Launching an attack on the BJP government he said that in the last four and half years the government has failed to fulfil its promise of Ache Din. He said that the Congress party would give justice to the people when the people vote it to power in the state. Addressing a public meeting the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Ganesh Godiyal said that the BJP after coming to power stalled all the welfare schemes started by the Congress government. He said that the recruitment on the backlog posts of SC and STs in the state has remained stalled for a long time. Godiyal assured that every section of the society would get justice when the Congress government is formed in the state.

The leader of opposition (LoP) in the Uttarakhand assembly Pritam Singh said that the Congress party is highlighting the failures of the BJP government both on the roads and in the assembly. He said that the people of the state have decided to hand over the power to the Congress party in the assembly elections of 2022. He assured that the Congress government would take concrete measures for helping farmers, women and unemployed. The deputy leader of Congress in assembly, Karan Mahra said that the youth of the state have been duped by the BJP government and  exhorted them to exercise their franchise in the election after due consideration. The spokesperson Garima Dasauni said that the huge response the Parivartan Yatra is receiving shows that the Congress party is returning to power in Uttarakhand.

The Yatra was attended by the executive presidents Jeet Ram, Bhuwan Kapdi, Tilak Raj Behed and Ranjit Rawat, former PCC president Kishore Upadhyaya, Rajya Sabha MP Pradeep Tamta and Adesh Chauhan and others
