Congress to start signature campaign against Agnipath scheme today

 With an eye on the votes of the ex-servicemen and their families in the crucial Vidhan Sabha elections of 2027, the ex-servicemen wing of Congress party in Uttarakhand will launch a state-wide signature campaign against the Agnipath scheme. The Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Karan Mahara will flag off the signature campaign Yatra from the headquarters of the State Congress on Saturday.

The head of the ex-servicemen cell of the party Colonel ( retd) Ram Ratan Singh Negi said that  campaign will make the people aware about the ill effects of Agnipath scheme and the loss of the State due to it.

He said that in the first phase, the Yatra will cover Kotdwar, Lansdowne, Duggada, Buakhal, Satpuli, Pauri and Srinagar towns of the Garhwal division. Negi said that a large number of the ex-servicemen will take part in the Yatra.
