The State media in charge of Bharatiya Janata Party Manveer Singh Chauhan has said that the incident involving a conman claiming to be the personal assistant of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has exposed internal rift in Uttarakhand Congress. He said that the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Ganesh Godiyal has claimed that a conspiracy was being hatched against him.
Chauhan said that Godiyal’s statements clearly indicate that a power struggle in the Uttarakhand Congress is underway to replace the PCC president.
He said that Godiyal has claimed that he knows the people who had hatched the conspiracy to dislodge him. Chauhan said that the Congress president should set a high standard in politics and publicly reveal their names.
The BJP leader said that Congress has a long history of horse-trading. He added that the woman leader whose report revealed this has consistently accused the Congress of selling tickets in the past. Chauhan said that the Congress party has no ethical standards in politics. It has consistently adopted an irresponsible approach to power, leading to public disillusionment.
