Covid-19; 293 new cases, 118 recoveries and four deaths reported in State on Wednesday

A total of 293 persons were found to be Covid positive in the state on Wednesday while 118 patients recovered and four died in the state on the same day. The total number of active Covid-19 cases in the state is now 1,863 with a recovery percentage of 94.94 per cent.
According to the health department, of the Covid positive cases reported on Wednesday, 171 are from Dehradun, 70 from Haridwar, 21 from Nainital and 16 from Udham Singh Nagar. Among the other districts, one case was reported in Bageshwar, two in Chamoli, seven in Pauri, two each in Pithoragarh and Tehri, and one in Uttarkashi. No new cases were reported on Wednesday from Almora, Champawat and Rudraprayag districts.
According to official data, of the 1,863 active cases in the state, there are 741 in Dehradun district, 511 in Haridwar, 139 in Nainital and 116 in Tehri. The number of active cases in other districts is 43 in Almora, 14 in Bageshwar, 25 in Chamoli, 20 in Champawat, 85 in Pauri, 22 in Pithoragarh, 29 in Rudraprayag, 81 in Udham Singh Nagar and 37 in Uttarkashi. Meanwhile, 18,281 beneficiaries were vaccinated in 418 sessions in the state on Wednesday.
