A total of 30,081 people were vaccinated for the Covid-19 in different parts of the state on Monday. In the state 95,093 people have been fully vaccinated so far as they have received both the first and second dose of the vaccine. A total of 1,11,335 senior citizens (60 Plus) have received the first dose of the vaccine in the state. Similarly 7154 persons in the age group of 45-59 years having co-morbidity have been vaccinated.
The Chief Operations Officer (COO) of state Covid-19 control room, Dr Abhishek Tripathi said 357 vaccine sessions were organised in different parts of the state on Monday. In Dehradun 76 vaccine sessions were organised in which 6001 senior citizens, 338 people with co-morbidity, 671 healthcare workers and 939 frontline workers were vaccinated on the day. Similarly 2,276 senior citizens, 240 persons with co-morbidity, 134 health care workers and 1,807 front line workers were vaccinated in 73 vaccine sessions in Haridwar district. Meanwhile the state health department reported 60 new cases of the disease on Monday which increased the cumulative tally of the disease to 97,866. Death of one patient was reported by the department on the day which increased the death toll in the state to 1,704. The authorities discharged 86 patients from different hospitals of the state following their recovery on Monday. A total of 94,168 patients have recovered from the disease in the state so far and the recovery percentage is now at 96.22. The state health department reported 35 new cases of the disease from Dehradun, 10 from Haridwar, seven from Nainital, four from Udham Singh Nagar and two each from Pauri and Tehri on the day. No new case was reported from Almora, Bageshwar, Chamoli, Champawat, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag and Uttarkashi districts on Monday.
The state now has 581 active patients of the disease. Haridwar district is at the top of the table of active cases of the disease with 207 patients, Dehradun has 125, Nainital 107, Tehri 36, Udham Singh Nagar 27, Champawat and Almora 16 each, nine from Uttarkashi, seven each from Bageshwar, Pithoragarh and Rudraprayag districts.
