Covid-19: Four deaths, 209 new patients reported on Wednesday
The tally of novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) cases in Uttarakhand climbed to 94170 on Wednesday with the state health department reporting 209 new cases of the disease. The department also reported the death of four patients of the disease on the day after which the death toll mounted to 1593 in the state. The health department discharged 289 patients from different hospitals on Saturday. A total of 88761 patients have recovered from the disease so far in the state. The recovery percentage from the disease is now at 94.26 and the sample positivity rate is 4.86 percent.
Two patients of Covid-19 were reported dead at Kailash hospital Dehradun on Wednesday. One patient each was reported dead at Government Doon Medical College (GDMC) hospital Dehradun and All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh on the day.
The health department reported 97 new patients of the disease from Dehradun, 45 from Nainital, 19 from Haridwar, 12 from Pithoragarh, 10 from Udham Singh Nagar, seven from Pauri, six from Almora, five from Tehri, three from Chamoli, two each from Bageshwar and Uttarkashi and one from Rudraprayag. No new patient was reported from Champawat district on Wednesday.
Uttarakhand now has 2552 active cases of the disease. Dehradun is at continuing to remain at top of the table of active cases with 636 cases while with 502 active cases Nainital is at second spot. Haridwar is at third position with 315 cases; Almora has 178, Tehri 156, Bageshwar 133, Udham Singh Nagar 131, Pithoragarh 111 Pauri and Chamoli 104 each, Uttarkashi 100 and Rudraprayag 47 active cases of the disease. With only 35 active cases of Covid-19, Champawat now is at the bottom of the table of active cases of Covid-19.
