43230 vaccinated so far in the state
In the ongoing vaccination drive, 5925 people were vaccinated in 105 vaccine sessions held in different parts of the state on Tuesday. The chief operations officer (COO) of state Covid-19 control room, Dr Abhishek Tripathi said that 43230 people so far have been vaccinated in 710 vaccine sessions in the state. In Dehradun 30 vaccine sessions were held on the day in which 1737 people were vaccinated. In Haridwar 978 people received vaccines in 23 sessions while in 674 persons were administered vaccines in Nainital. Similarly 674 people were vaccinated in Udham Singh Nagar, 666 in Almora, 320 in Champawat, 303 in Uttarkashi and 277 in Chamoli district on the day.
Meanwhile only 47 new patients of the Covid-19 were reported in Uttarakhand on Tuesday after which the number of Covid-19 patients increased to 96227 in the state. The department also reported the death of three patients from the disease which increased the death toll to 1651 in the state. The authorities discharged 80 patients from different hospitals of the state following their recovery on Tuesday. A total of 92185 patients have recovered from the disease in the state and the recovery percentage is now at 95.80 while the sample positivity rate is 4.47 percent.
One patient each of Covid-19 was reported dead at Himalayan hospital Jollygrant, Velmed hospital Dehradun and Mahant Indiresh hospital, Dehradun on Tuesday.
The health department reported 19 new patients from Dehradun, 10 from Nainital, nine from Udham Singh Nagar, five from Haridwar, two from Champawat, one each from Almora and Bageshwar. No new case of the disease was reported from the districts of Chamoli, Pauri, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag, Uttarkashi and Tehri on Tuesday.
The state now has only 1043 active patients of the disease. Nainital district is top of the table of active cases of the disease with 164 patients. Dehradun has 160, Haridwar 156, Bageshwar 126, Udham Singh Nagar 121, Almora 101, Pithoragarh 67, Tehri 52, Pauri 30, Uttarkashi 20, Rudraprayag 19, Chamoli 15 and Champawat 12 active cases of the disease.
