Several routes to remain diverted today in Doon

Several routes will remain diverted today due to the Eid-e-Milad procession in Dehradun. The police have issued a traffic plan to manage the movement of vehicles during the procession. The officials informed that the procession will move on the left side of the road while traffic will continue on the right side. If required, traffic will be partially diverted from Patelnagar Mandi, Lalpul, Balliwala Chowk and Saharanpur Chowk. Once the procession reaches Prince Chowk, traffic moving from Prince Chowk to Drona Cut will be partially diverted towards Doon Chowk via Chandan Nagar Cut.

When the procession moves from Drona Cut towards Court Road, traffic from Tehsil Chowk to Prince Chowk will be released intermittently. After the procession crosses Drona Cut, traffic from Prince Chowk will be diverted towards Tehsil Chowk. When the procession reaches Doon Chowk, vehicles from Tehsil Chowk to Doon Chowk will be diverted towards Prince Chowk. Vehicles from Buddha Chowk to Doon Chowk will be diverted through Darshanlal Chowk to Tehsil Chowk.

After the procession crosses Buddha Chowk, no traffic will be allowed towards Manoj Clinic. Once the procession passes Buddha Chowk, no traffic will move from Convent Tiraha towards Manoj Clinic. Traffic from Manoj Clinic will be diverted towards Cross Road.

During the procession, traffic from Cross Road will be sent towards the main branch of SBI Bank via Manoj Clinic. Normal traffic movement will resume once the procession reaches the Mazar. The officials appealed to the locals to plan their commute as per the traffic plan.
