Chief secretary Radha Raturi has said that the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the aero medical service to be started at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh should be prepared soon and sent to the Health department. Raturi chaired a meeting at the State secretariat for the Aero Medical service on Wednesday. She asked the administration of AIIMS Rishikesh to send a letter to all the district magistrates, chief medical officers, district disaster management officers and others in this regard. The CS said that the SOP should be prepared after coordinating with the stakeholders and sent to the Health department.
She added that the SOP should include the facility for sending pregnant women from remote areas of the state in critical condition to AIIMS.
The officers of AIIMS Rishikesh informed that the SOP of aero medical service has been prepared and a heli emergency medical service call centre has been established. The work is in progress on improving the quality of helpline audit procedures.
