Chief secretary Anand Bardhan has directed all the departments of the State to immediately implement the required new updates, innovations and technical simplifications in the centrally funded schemes.
He said that the departments should bring about required technical and institutional reforms in central schemes so that their funds are received in a timely and appropriate manner. He gave the direction in the meeting of the committee of secretaries held at the State secretariat on Tuesday.
In the meeting he gave several instructions to the officials concerned regarding centrally sponsored schemes and financial management to accelerate the State’s development activities.
The CS said that the departments that need to have the trials of the new IT-based services and innovations should complete them without delay. Utilization certificates and other necessary documents for completed projects should be submitted on time, he said.
The CS said that wherever new policies or amendments to existing ones are needed, effective action should be taken immediately. He clarified that administrative ease and technological integration are crucial to accelerate the ongoing centrally funded development projects in the State, and all officials must work diligently to achieve this.
