In latest news from Doon, against backdrop of the State government prioritising Manaskhand Mandir Mala Mission (MMMM) project, the Uttarakhand chief secretary Radha Raturi gave necessary instructions to public works department (PWD), the project’s executive agency, regarding the shrine renovation project involving the Kainchi Dham temple that comes under MMMM list. Notably, Rs 28.15 crore has been set aside for this shrine revamping project. She said that aside from the beautification of the shrine, basic infrastructural facilities and multi-level parking lot must be built, she told the officials present. This aside, one pedestrian bridge would be built in addition to the bridge that already exists in the temple complex, the CS said.
