CS reviews silver jubilee celebration plan of Uttarakhand’s foundation

Chief secretary Anand Bardhan reviewed the preparations for the silver jubilee celebrations of the foundation of the State at the secretariat on Thursday.

The CS said that silver Jubilee celebrations should be organized across the state to mark the 25th anniversary of the creation of the State. In the meeting a blueprint for the state-level programmes to be held across the State from November 1 to November 9 was prepared and discussed. 

Bardhan stated that over the past 25 years, the State has achieved significant success in various sectors, particularly education, health, industry, tourism and road connectivity. He directed that an exhibition showcasing the achievements of the past 25 years of the State and its roadmap for the next 25 years should be held on the occasion of the State Foundation Day. He urged that all departments coordinate district-level and state-level programmes. 

The CS said that various cultural programmes should be organized every day from November 1 to November 9 in the State. He said that participation of workers, farmers, ex-servicemen, and women should be ensured in these programmes. Public participation should be ensured in programs organized by various departments, he said. 

Principal secretaries RK Sudhanshu, L Fanai, R Meenakshi Sundaram, special principal secretary Amit Sinha, secretaries Nitesh Kumar Jha, Pankaj Kumar Pandey, R Rajesh Kumar, Vinay Shankar Pandey, Deependra Kumar Chaudhary, Surendra Narayan Pandey, Vinod Kumar Suman, Yugal Kishore Pant and Dhiraj Singh Garbyal and other officers attended the meeting.
