In latest news from Uttarakhand, the State chief secretary Radha Raturi directed the officers concerned to encourage start -ups in the mountainous areas. She said that these ventures might come under the Uttarakhand Venture Fund of Rs 200 crore.
She stressed on start-ups- involving agriculture, pisciculture, horticulture and dairy-coming up in the hilly parts of the State and said that the administration must encourage the women working for self -help groups or simple homemakers to launch start-ups on the local millets, in particular.
