In latest news from Uttarakhand, a gang of armed criminals barged into the house of an hotelier in Shivalik Nagar under Ranipur police station limits and, holding the hotelier’s daughter captive, looted cash, a licensed revolver, jewelleries and car. The car was later found abandoned along Delhi-Haridwar National Highway. The incident happened around 10. 30 AM when the owner of the house Kulbir Chaudhary was strolling in the nearby park as usual with his daughter left alone in the house.
Upon being informed of the broad daylight robbery, a team of police rushed to the house and started investigation. The criminals were yet to be identified and arrested, police said, adding that they would be arrested soon.
