Deaths of 4 youths: Revenue police files culpable homicide case against youth missing in Ghansali

The uncle of one of the four youths who were found dead while they went for hunting on Saturday night in the forest under Bal Ganga area in Bhilangna block of Tehri district has filed a complaint against the missing person allegedly involved in the incident after which the revenue police have registered a case of culpable homicide not amounting to murder against the youth who has been missing since the incident. 

The revenue police are searching for the youth who has remained missing since the incident. Rajiv alias Rajji (22), a resident of Khawara village in Bhilangana block, had gone on a hunt in the forest with six of his friends on Saturday night. Santosh (19), a resident of Kundi village, died of bullet injury under suspicious circumstances on the same night. Soban Singh (21), Pankaj Singh (22) and Arjun Singh (20) of Kundi village, who were distressed at the death of their friend purportedly consumed pesticides kept in the cattle shed while Rajiv went missing. 

The bodies of four youths were recovered when the family members came to know about the incident. Santosh’s uncle Balbir Singh filed a complaint with the revenue police on Sunday night stating that his nephew had gone with Rajeev and died due to a shot fired from Rajeev’s gun. Revenue police sub inspector Manohar Singh Negi informed that on the complaint filed by the uncle of one of the deceased a case of culpable homicide not amounting to murder has been registerd along with abetment to suicide.The sub-inspector said that so far there was no trace of Rajeev who has been missing since the incident.
