In latest news from Doon, in view of the Delhi government having enforced the Graded Response Action Plan banning BS-3 and BS-4 buses into the national capital, the Uttarakhand Transport Corporation (UTC) has taken a slew of steps to keep the commuters from Uttarakhand to Delhi unaffected. As UTC recently purchased 130 B-6 new buses 77 of them have been put into use for Delhi and the remaining buses will be rolled out to ferry people to Delhi soon.
UTC officials said that at present 180 BS-6 buses are being rolled out on the Delhi routes. They further said that the buses whose entry into Delhi is now banned are plying up to Delhi border areas and the passengers are being taken from there into the national capital under an arrangement reached by UTC with Delhi Transport Corporation.
