Delhi man drowns while bathing in Sahastradhara, body recovered

A 50-year-old Delhi man drowned while bathing in the river near Sahastradhara in Dehradun on Sunday. The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and Rajpur police recovered his body after a search and rescue operation. The man was identified as Naut Ram Yadav, a resident of New Delhi.
According to the information, the incident took place near Bagradhauran in the Sahastradhara area, where the man was reportedly bathing with his friends. The police said that the man was swept away by the strong water current and became trapped between rocks under the Bandawali bridge.
The police and SDRF teams rescued him from the water and took him to Deen Dayal Upadhyaya district hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The body was recovered around two kilometres from the Sahastradhara waterfall, near Pandavwala bridge.
