DGP reviews security measures ahead PM’s visit to Harsil- Mukhwa

In view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s proposed visit to the Harsil-Mukhwa area of Uttarkashi on Thursday, Uttarakhand director general of police Deepam Seth conducted an inspection of the venue and the VVIP route on Wednesday. Accompanied by senior officials from the State government and Police department, he reviewed security arrangements to ensure a foolproof plan for the high-profile visit. During the inspection, the DGP assessed various security measures, including police deployment, barricading, rooftop security and additional force requirements. He interacted with police officers on duty, emphasising their responsibilities and issuing clear directives to maintain strict security protocols.
The additional director general (Crime, Law and Order) V Murugesan also conducted a security briefing in Harsil along with ADG (Intelligence) AP Anshuman. They reviewed the security arrangements and instructed all officers and personnel to remain alert and vigilant. The officials put special emphasis on ensuring the integrity of VVIP security and issued necessary guidelines to establish a robust security framework. Besides reviewing security preparations, police and administrative officials also carried out a fleet rehearsal to assess the VVIP route security and traffic management strategies. The Uttarkashi superintendent of police Sarita Dobhal said that every measure is being taken to ensure a seamless and secure visit for the PM.
