Dhami Cabinet approves amendment bill to strict land law

In latest news from Doon, the Uttarakhand Cabinet finally approved an amendment bill to a stringent land law on the second day of the ongoing Budget session of the Assembly. Chairing the Cabinet meeting which began at 9.30 AM, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the amended bill was meant to protect the State’s resources, its unique cultural heritage and citizens’ rights. “This is a historic move which aligns with the public sentiments,” he added.
Reiterating his government’s commitment to meet the expectations and aspiration of the people of the State, the CM said that they would continue to take important initiatives for the collective welfare of the people.
