Kedarnath Yatra completely safe, over 2.25 lakh pilgrims already visited, says Nautiyal

Kedarnath MLA Asha Nautiyal said that the Kedarnath Yatra is completely safe and as a result, the number of pilgrims arriving at the shrine is steadily increasing. She informed that more than 2.25 lakh devotees have already reached Kedarnath temple. She claimed that under the leadership of chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the State government is committed to ensuring a smooth and secure pilgrimage. Teams from the local administration are deployed along the route and at key stopovers to assist pilgrims and address any challenges during the journey.

Nautiyal informed that only those horses and mules which are cleared by veterinary checks are being used to carry pilgrims and essential supplies to the shrine. Thousands of pilgrims are also reaching Kedarnath daily on foot, through palanquin or by helicopter among others. She said that to manage the flow of devotees at the temple, a token system has been implemented and for the convenience of senior citizens and women, more than 25 vehicles have been deployed as part of the shuttle service between Sonprayag and Gaurikund. She stated that Dhami is continuously monitoring the arrangements and giving necessary directions to ensure the Yatra is conducted in an organised manner.
