Dhami greets Negi, Bajeli for Sangeet Natak  Academy awards

The chief minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami has congratulated famous folk singer Narendra Singh Negi for receiving the prestigious Sangeet Natak Akademy award. He has also greeted Diwan Singh Bajeli who has also received this award for his role in the field of drama and acting. Negi and Bajeli were bestowed with the prestigious award in Delhi by President Ram Nath Kovind on Saturday.

Expressing his happiness, Dhami said that the felicitation of Narendra Singh Negi in the field of folk singing and Bajeli in the field of acting is the honour of Uttarakhand. He added that the awards would give national recognition to the folk songs and acting skills of Uttarakhand.
Negi, a resident of Pauri district received the award for promoting folk songs and Music of the state while Bajeli who is a native of Someshwar Almora was awarded for his contribution in Drama, acting and providing scholarships.
