DM inspects Anganwadi centre, reviews children’s education, nutrition

While inspecting the Anganwadi Centre in Suman Colony, Chamba on Thursday, the district magistrate, Nitika Khandelwal directed the Anganwadi workers to provide quality and nutritious food to the children as per the prescribed standards and ensure regular monitoring of their weight and health.
During the inspection, she reviewed the centre’s arrangements and reviewed the attendance register, nutrition register and other essential records. She obtained information regarding the number of children registered at the centre, their regular weight checks and nutritional diets.
She interacted with the children and had them practise the English alphabet and initials on the blackboard. She also asked them questions related to the alphabet and elementary education. She further inspected the children’s books and encouraged them to study regularly.
